Thomas Grabka Thomas Grabka has worked as a photojournalist since 1992, providing images for Germany’s leading news magazines Der Spiegel and Stern among other publications. He has worked in most European countries, Central Asia and the Middle East, and has visited Afghanistan and Iraq several times since 2001. The main focus of his work is on people’s daily lives. Thomas studied history and linguistics in Dresden, and later the science of art and culture at Humboldt University in Berlin. He currently lives in Berlin.
